Karl Heinrich Marx lived from early 1800's until late 1800's, basically in the 20th century. He was born on May 5,1818 and he passed away on March 14,1883. Throughout those 65 years that he lived, he did ten times more than a normal person usually does. We can't give him one name and say that he did this because he didn't do only that. Marx was so smart that he put something in different interests that he had. He was a German political economist, philosopher, historian, political theorist, sociologist and communist revolutionary. His ideas played a really big role in the development of modern communism and socialism. Marx can be identified as a special person in this world because he had really interesting thoughts and his goal was to make those thoughts happen.
Marx was the author of “The Communist Manifesto”. He published it on 1848. But Karl Marx wasn't the only one who worked on it, Friedrich Engels was part of it, too. This book is known as the most influential political manuscript. In this book, instead of representing the future of communism Marx is trying to show the class struggle and all of the problems that capitalism brings. The main point of The Manifesto was to feature how the capitalist society would be replaced by socialism, and then by communism. The contents of the Manifesto is divided into 5 separate parts:
- “Let the ruling classes tremble at a communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Workingmen of all countries, unite”!
